ISO 45001 is to build an occupational health and safety (OH&S) system to efficiently improve workplace environment and safety. The adoption of ISO 45001 is intended to enable organizations and enterprises to provide safe and healthy workplaces and prevent work-related injury and ill health, thereby serving as guidelines for government institutions, industries and stakeholders to build safer workplaces. To build occupational safety and health management system, organizations follows ISO 45001 to establish and implement effective polices and goals to manage risks and improve efficiency.

To effectively manage and promote occupational safety and hygiene, environmental protection, manufacturing process, energy saving etc., Asia Optical continuously proposesimproved solution by periodic meetings to supervise and correct preventive actions.

The committee members and their supervisors in each department have to attend the whole course of the meeting. The regular committee and audit meetings help the management team to sufficiently understand the status of environmental protection, safety and hygiene concepts promoted in the factory. Based on the opinions provided by different departments, workable solutions are proposed to solve environmental protection, safety and hygiene related issues effectively and continuously.

To prevent occupational injuries,, to maintain employees' safety and health, Asia Optical places high importance on safety and hygiene matters and is pursing the goal of “no injuries”. The goal of industrial hygiene is to provide employees a comfortable working environment and to enhance employees' physical and mental health. The warning system of hazardous objects, the measurement of working environment, employee's health inspection, drinking and food hygiene management are actively implemented factory-wide.

Contractor management

We strive to provide a more secure working environment, and work on the contractors' safety management standards and penalties; request staff to be educated with general safety training before working in the factory, and then by plant re-education and on-site hazards advice.

Fire control management

Safety is priority one in AOCI standards. Fire control education is to improve disaster prevention awareness and enhance defense capabilities and self-help ability. In the event of an emergency, we can immediately play relief protection, eliminate disaster, decrease the damage into the lowest level, and further achieve the sense of disaster protection for every employee. Also, it can highlight the implementation of disaster relief staff skills. Annual exercises include the followings:

1、Mission statement of fire control formation.
2、Basic knowledge introduction on fire control.
3、Usage of fire hydrant and practical operation.
4、Escape drills and introduction by using ease-drop appliance
5、Escape route introduction.
6、The training for emergency treatment.
7、Usage of fire extinguisher and practical operation (put out the fire on oil pan)./br>

Industrial accidents survey management

The occurrence of industrial accidents caused directly or indirectly staffs of life or property damage, from small wound, e.g. skin broken, to large casualty. Industrial accidents also demonstrate the loopholes in management system or design. By managing the accidents investigation, we can find out the root cases, and then make countermeasures to prevent or reduce the risk of reoccurrence.

Career health

Staffs are the company's most important asset. The protection of the health of workers on the staffs is the greatest responsibility of AOCI. AOCI provides the service of annual health examinations for our staffs. Asia Optical screens through health examinations and follows up on staffs' health records, regularly conducts the operating environmental inspections (Organic solvent operation, Noise operation) and provides protective appliances. All with the hope to avoid staffs from hazard exposures and reduce the risk of occupational diseases.

We provide health examination for new employees and current employees. We also provide health examination for employees in special hazardous environment. In addition, Asia Optical also manages employees' health examination results per the special hazardous health management form.

Industrial safety check/audit

Asia Optical has established institutional inspection. Safety guard will conduct irregular inspection in each factory. Moreover, we also set up improvement list, which provides industrial safety with basic standards. Inspection result will be informed to responsible division and tracked with improved status by the safety dept. Asia Optical devotes to build a circumstance where all staffs can have physical and mental health and work safely.
